RP:YDS Arclight Scientist and Card Maker, Alexander Nash

Bio: Just a regular hard working scientist for the Arclight, he works time and hours for most of the basic projects, he is the average salary man in some sense. However he is one of the scientist in the group that help push forwards new technologies and ideas. As part of the companies scientists he was allowed to design some cards for them and even he created some of his own original cards. This regular joe just wants to get on with his life and make his family happy though before in the past he was a dueling master.

Last time, you tried the "scientist" routine, you screwed up royally. Either come up with something new, or learn how to RP as a scientist. (You better be asking a lot of people, because if I hear a complaint, I'm going to be angry.)

Yea i plan on taking a side role this time as a scientist, im going to be a bit more chill and out of the picture so i shouldnt screw up royally this time

While I haven't seen you RP this before, I would be relieved to see an RP assuming said role, as well.

No one trusts me anymore sniff sniff but anyways said example since im going to be focusing more on a laid back scientist just trying to get his paycheck

The lab was bustling as ever people working at their stations and computers quickly trying to get out the newest of technology out for the company to make profit out of. Nash was assigned to the design group for today.

"So anyone got any new bright ideas for a product to produce, the company needs some new products to put on the line" said Scientist group leader

"Hmmm another boring day at work haaaa" thought Nash, "Hope someone pitches something good so we can start building it"

"Well if we could increase the realism of the game im sure it could result in some good feedback" said scientist lacky 1

"No we tried that before ended horribly" replied Scientist group leader

"Oh yeah they never did find that guys limbs after the test" thought Nash

The group then went into silence

"Hmm what new fancy toy to improve yugioh" thought Nash, then he got an idea and slowly started to speak

"What if we build a basic ranking system for the yugioh world people could register for a fee but then be put into a world ranking system. This system could be used to set up duels between people near each other at the same level of playing thereby increasing the amount of play people have and the challenge they have against other people" said Nash

"Hmm not a bad idea Nash" said the Group Leader, "Alright ill send this idea to the President while you guys start coming up with the design of this program and how to build it"

"Great finally we get to do something" thought Nash

"Lets get to work people" said the Group leader

Quickly everyone scurried back to their work stations and quickly got writing ideas on how to implement this new ranking system

"Haaaa never an easy day at work" Thought Nash as he began to design the project

I don't like it. It doesn't seem to fit a scientist archetype at all. Also, keep in mind that Arclight and Kaiba Corporation do not produce cards. They produce Duel Monsters technologies, while Industrial Illusions is responsible for the production of cards. To be honest, you seem to take the concept of being a scientist too frivolously. Maybe you could try RPing a more weighted subject, since you won't be suggesting everyday stuff like "ranking systems" in the RP, I can guarantee you that. What the "subject" is exactly, I don't know. At least you don't forget your character's personality, but you'll have to forgive me if I reject an example that seems lighthearted to me. You do have a good direction at the beginning, but it seems too... melodramatic, if anything. If you care to, I'll be more than willing to evaluate you again.

Hmm do you think its possible that i go along with this small idea, but the company sees my potential as an inventor since ive been suggesting many good ideas lately though on a small scale that they eventually want to put me to work on more advance projects, plus i was thinking that the ranking system would be used by the company in a evil way, that not only that players can track other players the company can track anyone that has registered to this ranking system and certain things they do etc.?

That wouldn't be a bad start. Do an RP pertaining to that, maybe arguing with your boss or something. Choice is yours.

He was a scientist in S. Revolt until we figured out that he made everything just stupidly broken. And then, we watched him like a hawk and more people complained on how he wasn't a scientist.

Yes, he needs to pick a different occupation, because he obviously doesn't know how to be a "scientist".
